நான் தேடும் செவ்வந்தி பூவிது

 

Prem Kumar, an honest police inspector, is transferred to Neelankarai Police Station; there he clashes with the notorious thug D. Janardhanan "DJ", whom he single-handedly beats and imprisons.

சிவந்தி அல்லது செவ்வந்தி (Chrysanthemum) இருவித்திலைத் தாவர வகையைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு பூக்கும் தாவரம். கண்ணியாகக் கட்டி மகளிர் தலையில் இதனைச் சூடிக்கொள்வர்.

Dharma Pathini starring Karthik and Jeevitha, was  released in Mar 1986.  The film was remade in Telugu as Dharmapatni and in Hindi as Jawab Hum Denge, both films releasing in 1987 

Sevvanthi is Chrysanthemum – the one pictured here is Poinsettia !! This is a Poinsettia plant — scientifically known as Poinsettia.

•        The bright red “petals” are actually modified leaves called bracts.

•        The tiny yellow-green structures in the center are the true flowers.
