end of Kaliyuga ............. Paradesi !!

 

This morning saw this poster at few places in Triplicane ~ the blue coloured one shouting end of ‘Kaliyuga’ incidentally appears to have been posted over another poster of Chief Minister Mr Vijay and this is no political post  but more on the word ‘Paradesi’ stated !!

 

Kali Yuga is the fourth and final epoch in the repeating cosmic cycle of time (Yugas) within Hindu cosmology, often described as the "Age of Darkness," "Age of Vice," or "Iron Age". It is characterized by moral decline, spiritual ignorance, and societal chaos.            

                                According to traditional Vedic texts, Kali Yuga lasts for 432,000 years and began around 3102 BCE, shortly after the Kurukshetra War and the departure of Bhagwan Sri Krishna.   It is a time when dharma (righteousness) is reduced to a quarter of its original strength. Materialism, greed, hypocrisy, and conflict thrive, while spiritual pursuits are largely abandoned.   

According to the traditional calculations in Hindu cosmology, Kali Yuga will end in the year 428,899 CE, with roughly 426,870 years remaining !!  should we worry now, is for you to think !!

 

இந்து தொன்மவியலின்படி, நான்கு யுக சுழற்சியில் கடைசியாக வரக்கூடிய தற்போதைய காலகட்டம் கலியுகம்.  இது அதர்மம், அறியாமை, பேராசை மற்றும் ஆன்மீக வீழ்ச்சி நிறைந்த யுகமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. கலியுகம் மொத்தம் 4,32,000 ஆண்டுகள் நீடிக்கும் என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது.  பகவான் கிருஷ்ணரின் பூலோக மறைவுக்குப் பிறகு கலியுகம் தொடங்கியதாக மகாபாரதம் மற்றும் பாகவத புராணம் கூறுகின்றன. கலியுகத்தின் ஆரம்பக் கட்டத்தில்தான் நாம் இருக்கிறோம்.இறைவனின் அவதாரம்: கலியுகத்தில் அதர்மம் உச்சத்தை அடையும் போது, ​​அறத்தை நிலைநாட்ட விஷ்ணு பகவான் கல்கி அவதாரம் எடுப்பார் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.   

கலி புருஷன் - அதர்மம், பாவம், சண்டை, குழப்பம் மற்றும் தீய செயல்களின் உருவகமாக கருதப்படும் கலியுகத்தின் தேவதை. இவர் கலியுகத்தின் நாயகனாக அறியப்படுகிறார் மற்றும் விஷ்ணுவின் பத்தாவது அவதாரமான கல்கியால் அழிக்கப்படுவார் என்று புராணங்கள் கூறுகின்றன.  கலியின் யுகம் என்பது பாபம் செய்தவர்களின் பூமியாக, தீய ஆதிக்கம் நிறைந்த, நேர்மையற்ற மற்றும் குழப்பம் மிக்க பூமியாக இருக்கும் என்பதினால் கலியுகம் என்ற பட்டப் பெயரை பெற்றது.  

இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தில் கலி யுகம் என்று அழியும், எப்படி அழியும், அந்த நாட்களில் வாழ்வது எவ்வளவு கடினமாக இருக்கும் போன்ற ஆராய்ச்சிகளில் நான் ஈடுபட போவதில்லை !!  இந்த போஸ்டரில் பறதேசி என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது தவறு என நான் நினைக்கிறேன் ! - அது பரதேசி என்று இருக்க வேண்டும்.  

'பரதேசி' என்பது ஒருவர் வசிக்கும் ஊர் அல்லது நாட்டை விட்டு, வேறு ஒரு நாட்டிற்குச் செல்லும் வெளிநாட்டவரைக் குறிக்கும் சொல்லாகும். பொதுவாக, இது பிற தேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் (அன்னியன்) அல்லது பிழைப்புத் தேடி வெளியூர் சென்றவர்களைக் குறிக்கப் பயன்படுகிறது.மேலும் இச்சொல் : தேசயாத்திரை செய்பவர்.ஆன்மீகத் தேடலில் ஊர் ஊராகச் சுற்றும் துறவி போன்ற பொருட்களில் உபயோகிக்கப்படுகிறது..   

ஆனால்  பொதுவாக, பரதேசி என்பது யாசகம் பெறுபவர்களைக் குறிக்கப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.   பரதேசம் (பிறதேசம்) என்ற சொல்லிலிருந்து பரதேசி என்ற இப்பெயர் வந்திருக்க வேண்டும். வடமொழியில் காணப்படும் பர்தேஸ் என்ற சொல்லுடன் இது இணையாக கருதப்படலாம். முந்தைய தமிழ் நூல்களில், ‘பரதேசி’ என்ற  சொல் பொதுவாகப் பிறநாடுகளிலிருந்து வந்து தமிழகக் கடற்கரைப் பட்டினங்களில் தங்கியிலிருந்து கடல் வணிகத்தில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களைக் குறிக்கும் சொல்லாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது
