cows meet ! ~ taken a few years ago. Cow Corner (in fact they are in the middle)
!!
In cricket, cow
corner is an informal deep fielding area on the leg side (the batsman's side),
stretching between deep mid-wicket and wide long-on. The term originated from the early days of
English village cricket, which was often played in open farm fields. This
specific boundary area was considered "safe" because cows would graze
there during the match. Shots hit into this area were considered
rustic, ungainly, or unsophisticated swings of the bat rather than textbook
strokes, leading to the name. While the name began as a way to mock unorthodox
or rustic slogging, modern limited-overs formats and innovative hitting have transformed cow corner into a highly
strategic & high scoring zone.
