Dwayne Bravo to jig in Tamil cinema 'Ula'

Singara Chennai ~ the beautiful Capital of Tamil Nadu has many attractions and one amongst them is ‘Kolliwood’ ~ a few decades ago – there were so many studios – prominent being : AVM, Gemini, Vijaya Vahini and more…. People used to say that every train to Egmore brought at least half a dozen aspirants from villages – landing in Madras with hopes of becoming a heroine………………and getting lost somewhere……………

IPL and Chennai Kings  are a great hit…. In the recent Champions League – CSK lost in the Semis – the finals was between 2 Indian IPL teams – Mumbai Indians won defeating Rajasthan Royals bringing curtains to two of greatest batsmen – Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.

3 years ago, in CLT20 [2010] – it was Kieron Pollard who thundered his way blasting South Australia bowlers making 72 off just 30 balls with 9 sixers ~ one of them was a monstrous hit off Shaun Tait, which just disappeared over the midwicket………………and as they waited for the ball to be recovered Pollard and his partner went into an impromptu jig, which amused everybody other than Tait and his mates.  His mate at that time was fellow Trinidadian – Bravo.

Dwayne Bravo has come a long way since his ODI debut in 2003. Now he has 2200 runs in Tests added to 2495 in 147 One dayers. He is a good allrounder having taken 86 test wickets and 173 in One dayers.  Dwayne James John Bravo is an athletic fielder too…

From Mumbai Indians, he was later signed by the Chennai Super Kings and has been an integral part for them. Bravo also plays for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, and the Chittagong Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League. He was named as a franchise player at the launch of the Caribbean Premier League for the 2013 tournament.

Every Friday perhaps some film gets started with a pooja… Ula is an upcoming thriller written and directed by Rajan Madhav. It stars Ajmal Ameer, Ashok, Vidharth, Gayathrie,Radhika Apte and Nivedhitha alongside newcomers Nandan, Nivas and Priya Banerjee.  The film has music composed by Sajan Madhav, cinematography by Padmesh and editing by Praveen K. L.-N. B. Srikanth. The film reportedly is a connection of four different stories that happen in 48 hours.

Sure Dwayne Bravo did not land up in Chennai seeking a role or career in tinseldom…. ~ the allrounder known for his impromptu dance is all set to groove to a song in upcoming Tamil drama "Ula". Reports suggest that the yet-to-be composed song will be used for promotional purposes for the film. A way of tamil tinseldom trying to capitalize the freestyle dancing of this popular cricketer.
