here is a photo of me and my friend !
Friendship Day is an informal holiday dedicated to celebrating friendship and the bond between friends. It’s observed on different dates around the world, but two main traditions dominate: The United Nations officially proclaimed 30 July as the International Day of Friendship in 2011. In the United States and several other countries (including India and the UAE), Friendship Day is popularly celebrated on the first Sunday of August. So today Sunday, 2 August is Friendship day !!
The Butterfly Effect released in 2004 is an American science fiction thriller film written and directed by Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber, starring Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart, Eric Stoltz, William Lee Scott and others. The title refers to the butterfly effect. Kutcher plays 20-year-old college student Evan Treborn, who experiences blackouts and memory loss throughout his childhood. In his later 20s, Evan finds he can travel back in time to inhabit his former self during those periods of blackout, with his adult mind inhabiting his younger body. He attempts to change the present by changing his past behaviors and set things right for himself and his friends, but there are unintended consequences for all.
The film is built around the “butterfly effect” from chaos theory: tiny changes in initial conditions can lead to huge differences later (often illustrated by the Lorenz attractor, which looks like butterfly wings). Critics were mostly negative, but audiences loved the concept; it made about $96.8 million on a $13 million budget and became a cult hit, spawning sequels and a TV series. It’s often cited as a quintessential early 2000s “high concept” thriller: simple premise, big emotional stakes, and a brutal take on time travel.
Wait, later I learnt that the one pictured is not a Butterfly – but a giant silk moth (family Saturniidae). The conclusion is based on the wing shape, the striking white transverse bands, the snake-like "eye" markings near the forewing tips, and the small crescent-shaped eyespots on the hindwings, - and Web searches conclude it to be : Atlas Moth
Unlike
butterflies, Atlas moths are remarkably placid. They are completely
harmless—they cannot bite or sting. Adults
have no functional mouth, so they are not interested in feeding. During the day they tend to remain almost
motionless to conserve energy.
