We are One (Ole Ola) - Official FIFA 2014 song and the flop show !

Do you remember Shakira ?  and ~  "De Ghumaa Ke" literally meaning "Swing It Hard", written by Manoj Yadav.

Armando Christian Pérez, better known by his stage name Pitbull,  is an American rapper and Latin Grammy winning artist from Miami, Florida. He has released seven albums and one EP. Pitbull's 2011 album Planet Pit, featured the single "Give Me Everything", which was his first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. The song reached #1 worldwide; many of his songs have  charted worldwide attention.  Pitbull, Lopez and Leitte performed "We Are One (Ole Ola)" at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on 18 May 2014.  They teamed up to perform the song at the 2014 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony on June 12 in Arena Corinthians, São Paulo, prior to the Brazil v. Croatia match.

We Are One (Ole Ola)" is a song recorded by rapper Pitbull for One Love, One Rhythm – The 2014 FIFA World Cup Official Album (2014). It features guest vocals from American entertainer Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte. The song was written by Pitbull and a host of others; production was handled by Gottwald, Walter, and Troelsen. One Love, One Rhythm – The 2014 FIFA World Cup Official Album is a compilation album that was released  in May 2014 by Sony Music Entertainment. The first single from One Love, One Rhythm is "We Are One (Ole Ola)," a collaboration between American artists Pitbulland Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian axé singer Claudia Leitte, was released on April 8, 2014 and serves as the tournament's official theme song. The song  received a critical negative response by Brazilians and football fans over the decision in making it the official song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, particularly for having a "lack" of a Brazilian or football feeling. Carl Williott of Idolator opined that there is too much of Pitbull in the song, and not enough Lopez or Leitte.

When performed live, the song did not inspire and failed to live up to the expectations leaving the football fans across the globe disappointed.  Many criticise that Lopez Pitbull’s was a dismal performance that disappointed one and all and social media was abuzz with some funny jokes on JLo and Pitbull  becoming trending topics! While JLo was dressed in a green costume with a plunging neckline, Pitbull tried to be sporty but what was more disappointing than their costumes was the entire act. The duo were joined by singer Claudia Leitte who did nothing much either to entertain audiences, They were there for precisely five minutes  and it was far from a hit…

Outside, Riot police used tear gas on protesters opposed to the World Cup during clashes in Sao Paulo. Demonstrators tried to block part of the main highway leading to the stadium in Sao Paulo; Officers armed with shields and rubber truncheons clashed with a group of around 200 protesters, with noise bombs also fired to disperse the crowd. Inside the World Cup got off to a faltering start when poor sound quality left many television viewers unable to enjoy the opening ceremony.  Reports stated that those inside the stadium were able to enjoy Jennifer Lopez  singing the official song, but the experience of many at home was hampered by “appalling” sound quality, which left the voices of Lopez and fellow singers Pitbull, and Claudia Leitte, a Brazilian pop star, sounding faint and “tinny”.  ITV, which broadcast the ceremony in Britain,  is quoted as saying  "The sound problem that regrettably caused some disruption to viewers was caused by a technical issue with the host broadcaster, which provides the coverage of all the action at this year's World Cup."

While Jo Lo may not require any introduction, Cláudia Cristina Leite Inácio Pedreira known by the stage name Claudia Leitte and nickname Claudinha, is a Brazilian axé and pop singer, and former vocalist of the group Babado Novo. She is one of the most popular female singers in Brazil,  having sold over a million records during her solo career and being the recipient for many awards including a Latin Grammy Best Brazilian Contemporary Pop Album nomination for her first studio album As Máscaras.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (popularly Shakira)  is a Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, and model.  Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) was released in May  2010 by Epic Records as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup which was held in South Africa. Written and produced by Shakira and John Hill, "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)"  was a fusion between an African Colombian rhythm and a Soca-inspired beat. Though there were criticisms on its selection as official song, it made headlines big.

De Ghumaa Ke, a song composed by the trio of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy (Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa) - sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Divya Kumar was the official song for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.  The song had  three different versions in Hindi, Bengali and Sinhalese, as Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka co-hosted the event.  The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket World Cup. It was played in India, Sri Lanka, and (for the first time) Bangladesh. Pakistan was also scheduled to be a co-host, but after the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team in Lahore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) cancelled that ~ as fans would never forget, India won the finals defeating Sri Lanka and MS Dhoni lifted the World Cup
