the ridiculously photogenic guy - goes viral

For long, whenever we heard ‘viral’ it was something to do with virus a medical terminology affecting humans with fever and other ailment, particularly of a pattern where the attacking agent replicates itself and spreads around faster.  In later part of last century, it drew reference to Computer Viruses.

Now often we hear of the term ‘Viral marketing’ -  viral advertising, referring to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness  or to achieve other marketing objectives .  Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. Like viruses, such strategies take advantage of rapid multiplication to explode the message to thousands, to millions.  Like tiny waves spreading ever farther from a single pebble dropped into a pond, a carefully designed viral marketing strategy ripples outward extremely rapidly.

Now ‘Ridiculously Photogenic Guy’ is going viral spreading like wild fire on the net.  Messy hair, beads of sweat and expressions of agony are common for runners, but apparently not for Zeddie Little.

In a race, people try to outsmart others to win, perhaps the smart looks of 25 year old Zeddie Little of New York is taking him places.  The man with an affable smile amidst the pain of long-distance running that was captured during a 10k race in Charleston, S.C. turned him into a viral phenomenon knows as "Really Photogenic Guy." Nearly 1.4 million people have viewed the picture in recent days on Flickr and it has been uploaded countless times to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.  It is stated that a  South Carolina systems analyst named Will King was looking through his photos of last weekend's Cooper River Bridge 10k when he stumbled across the one above. He noticed how different Little looked than all the other runners and uploaded it.

It is written that  it is the juxtaposition of Little's smile and the rest of the runners is what makes the picture so amusing.  Photoshop him out of that shot and put him in a family photo at Disney World and Little doesn't look any more "ridiculously photogenic" than anyone else. But while running a 45-minute race in the spring heat of South Carolina?  So he is the cool photogenic guy.

Little has become overnight hit, an Internet sensation after the  photo was posted on the Internet sharing board Reddit and went viral, inspiring a caption meme, where people pasted text on the photo of Little.

So there are various ways to keep one busy and people are flocking to the net at various  social networking sites, creating newer viral successes.
