Srinivas Youngmen’s Association (popularly SYMA)  has been serving the society since 1977.  Our  services engulf  various lines such as civic welfare, medicine, health, environment, education, personality development more.   Education is the only thing that can change the lives of children coming from lower echelons of society.  We at SYMA  firmly believe that only quality education can improve them and ensure their moving to a higher echelon.   

If you are 60+  - you would recall that once upon a time there was PUC – a Course in College immediately after SSLC (X1 years) and graduate degree in College.   In 1979, 10+2 schooling system was introduced – now students do 10 years of school education + 2 years of pre-University.   Today HSC (+2) results have been announced and SYMA has every reason to feel very happy. 

ஒருவனுக்கு அழிவு இல்லாத சிறந்த செல்வம் கல்வியே ஆகும், கல்வியைத் தவிர மற்றப் பொருள்கள் (அத்தகைய சிறப்புடைய) செல்வம் அல்ல!  கல்விதான் சமுதாயத்தையே மாற்ற வல்லது. 

கல்வி என்பது ஒருவரின் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒரு முக்கிய பங்கு வகிக்கிறது. இது வெறும் பாடப்புத்தகங்களைப் படிப்பதோடு நின்றுவிடாது, மாறாக, ஒருவரின் சிந்தனை, அறிவு மற்றும் திறமைகளை வளர்க்கவும் உதவுகிறது. கல்வி மூலம் ஒரு தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் மட்டுமல்லாமல், சமூக ரீதியிலும் நல்ல மாற்றங்களை ஏற்படுத்த முடியும்.  கல்விதான் மம்மர் அறுக்கும் மருந்து - அறியாமை என்னும் உயிர்ப்பிணியை நீக்கும் மருந்து ‘கல்வி’  ‘கல்வி என்பது வெள்ளத்தால் போகாது; வெந்தணலால்   வேகாது, வேந்தராலும் கொள்ள முடியாது; கொடுத்தாலும் குறையாது; கள்ளர்களால் திருட முடியாது;  ’ என்கிறது கொன்றை வேந்தன்.

 

Among SYMA’s  activities – the primary focus is on  :

 

1) Medical Centre and Laboratory run for the poor wherein free consultation and medicines are provided – popularly known as ரெண்டு ரூவா மருத்துவமனை  [Rs. 2 hospital !]   We also have a Medical lab wherein blood and other tests are done at very nominal costs.

 

2) SYMA Growth – a purposeful special tuition centre for coaching poor students of 10th and 12th standards.  Into its 17th  year now, this was inaugurated in  2008 and producing good results year after year, changing the lives of poor children.  The academic year 2020-21 was impacted by Covid. 

 

Today class 12 results are out.  In the State total of 419316 boys and 373178 girls took the examination.  10049 students were marked absent.  347670 boys and 405472 girls have passed (One can observe that pass % of girls is far higher).  The pass % this year is 95.03 as compared to 94.56 (2024); 94.03 (2023); 93.76% (2022) & 100% - obvious reason of being Corona year 2021.  The Districts have fared better than the city – top performers being :  Ariyalur - 98.82%; Erode - 97.98%; Thirupur - 97.53%; Coimbatore - 97.48%; Kanyakumari - 97.01%.

 

At SYMA Growth – a purposeful special tuition centre we provide quality educational support for economically backward children, a very high % of them are first generation students, lack support at home and do not have environment conducive for study at homefront.  We have 4 sections :  X Standard English two sections of around 30 students each and one +2 Commerce & one +2 Science.

  

SYMA Growth students performed well in XII Standard. Very happy to share our GROWTH class 12 students' results announced today.  22 out of 22 Science group students and 18 out of 20 Commerce group students have passed in HSC 2025 Examination. 

Out of our 40 students, One student  got less than pass mark in Accountancy and another failed  in Tamil. The detailed mark analysis makes a very happy reading.  Last year there were challenges and given the background and composition of our students, the results are really encouraging.  It reflects the painstaking hardwork and sincere devotion of you all. Really excited to see some outstanding performances especially these: a perfect 100 in Computer Science;  2 students securing 98 in Chemistry ; a 97 in Economics and so many 90+  -  Hearty Congratulations to our students and our teachers. 

The success of SYMA Growth in uplifting the students from lower echelons of society is fully because of the untiring efforts of teachers of SYMA Growth. We place on record our hearty thanks and gratitude to all those who supported us in this.  We thank the Management of NKT Boys High School, Dr Arumugam, Secretary NKT Group of Educational Institutions, the Head Master NKT Boys school, Mrs Jayasudha Sanjeevi, Principal of SYMA Growth, all Teaching staff of Growth, all our Office bearers and all those who supported financially and otherwise.  

At this happy occasion, with the grace of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman, we rededicate ourselves and will soon be commencing our classes for the  oncoming  academic year (ie., 2025-26) which will be our 17^th   year of Educational support  and together we will strive for betterment of society in providing quality tuition support to  students.   You have supported us in a big way over the years and look forward to your continued cooperation and support !    

 

The +2 result link is now active. Students will be able to download their marks  in websites : tnresults.nic.in; dge.tn.gov.in; results.digilocker.gov.in, by entering their Regn. No. & date of birth.
