the popularity of 'kolaveri'

Sure most people would instantaneously recognize this face.  ‘kolaveri’ is a slang which would mean murderous rage.  Comedian Vadivelu often would ask ‘aen intha kolaveri – why this rage?’ – when he get slapped by group of people….

People say it is hype to speak about Sachin’s 100th ton – me too feels that it is a statistical hype – what is there in combining 2 different forms and saying that he is about to make 100th century………

There is only one industry (can you really call it industry  !!) – it is only a dream factory (as Sujata wrote decades back) – it is only in tinseldom, that one can become popular overnight..  again the value, earning, celebrity status – all have no relevance or proportion to one’s talent !, effort or anything else

Indians are crazy about cinema and more crazy about cine stars.  Everything about them, including their personal life tidbits sells !!  I am not entirely against people watching Cinema, but at best it can only be an entertainment, momentary entertainment.  I am not sure whether my voice sane, but I am sure that there are not many singing with me……   Cine actors opine about everything – fortunate that none in Tamilnadu have yet spoken about Kudankulam !!

The photo is that of - Anirudh Ravichander – yet another music director who at 21 has shot to fame like a fire ball.   He composes music for the upcoming film ‘3’ being  directed by Aishwarya Dhanush.   The promotion song, Why This Kolaveri Di, that Anirudh had composed  went viral on YouTube and had tracked over 3 million views in 8 days.  The promo of the song, which was released on November 16, became an instant hit on social networking sites for its quirky 'Tanglish' (Tamil-English) lyrics.  The promo features the actor-playback singer Dhanush, son-in-law of superstar Rajinikanth, singing the song in a studio, and composer Anirudh at the piano, while wife & the director Aishwarya Rajinikanth and co-star Shruti Hassan watch along and give suggestions.

If popularity in You Tube is any indication, here is the chart and it says that till this moment (0640 am on 251111) -  3799896 have watched this !!
