Why the Parrot chose to quit and move away !! ??

Quitting Suddenly  ! and moving away !!  நான் இந்த விளையாட்டுக்கு வரலை!! ~  the parakeet seems to say !!

In our young, in gully Cricket, one impish often influential player, who owned the bat or ball would suddenly chose to leave, thereby jeopardizing the game itself.  Such sudden moves would bring the game to a halt and would be quite frustrating for others.  In a game scenario, be it individual or team game – such quitting due to reason whatsoever, would  lead to penalties like loss of the game,  lost progress, rank reduction, or bans, depending on the game.

When a player leaves the field during a cricket match, it is generally referred to as retiring. The outcome and rules depend on the reason for leaving.   If a batter leaves the field due to genuine injury or illness, their innings is recorded as "retired - not out". They can return to bat later in the innings, but only after another wicket falls or another batter retires. They will resume their innings at the fall of a subsequent wicket.  If a batter leaves the field for any other reason (e.g., tactical decision, personal reasons other than injury/illness) without the consent of the opposing captain, they are considered "retired - out". This is considered a dismissal for statistical purposes (though no bowler is credited with the wicket), and the player cannot return to bat in that innings unless the opposing captain gives permission.

A "walkover" in Cricket as in most other games, means a victory awarded to a team because their opponent forfeited, withdrew, or failed to show up, resulting in an easy, unopposed win.

Interesting !
