Impermanene - Ozymandias ! - statues at Beach, Chennai

 

Only Change is constant !  - none of you can take a similar picture now !! – for the statue of Sivaji Ganesan has been removed to Adyaru and Gandhi too shifted (may be Gandhi one day may come back to the original position)

 

நில்லாத வற்றை நிலையின என்றுணரும்

புல்லறி வாண்மை கடை.

 

நிலையில்லாத பொருள்களை நிலையானவைகளென்று கருதுகின்ற புன்மையான அறிவு துறந்தார்க்கு இழிவாகும்.

 

If statues are symbols – felling them are symbolisms !!  Ozymandias is a sonnet written by the  PB Shelly and published in 1818 ~ its  central theme is the inevitable decline of all leaders and of the empires they build with the lasting power of art, the only thing that has any permanence.  In Politics and in Sports, people do fall from famedom !
