Srinivas Young Mens Association (SYMA) has been service to the Society since 1977. Our main focus is on Medical service and quality Educational support. Since 1989, we have been running a Medical Centre where we charge just Rs.2/- - provide consultation and dispense medicines. We run a Medical analytical lab. Since 2008, we are providing quality Educational support through SYMA Growth for more than 100 students every year.
Besides our various social activities, we conduct a mega event
for School Children. This year Gold
Winner – SYMA Child fest 2024 was conducted at NKT National Girls High School,
Triplicane – hundreds of school and over 3500 school children participated in
12 events.

The concluding event was ‘Group Dance’ – a team event for Schools – upto 5th standard – group consisting of 5+ - not more than 10.
Old timers would fondly remember movie – Chandralekha released in 1948 featuring TR Rajakumari, MK Radha, Ranjan. Highlight of the movie was drum dance. Huge drums are arranged in rows in front of the Palace. Chandralekha joins the dancers, who dance on the drums. Sasankan is impressed with Chandralekha's performance but, unknown to him, Veerasimhan's soldiers are hiding inside the drums. As the dance ends, they rush out and attack Sasankan's men.
The movie was directed by - Thoothukudi Govindachari Raghavachari (TGR) scholar in Sanskrit and English, and a lawyer of the Madras High Court. Read that he left midway yet the drum-dance scene he directed remained in the film. The scene involved 400 dancers and six months of daily rehearsals. It was designed by chief art director A. K. Sekhar, choreographed by Jayashankar and filmed with four cameras by Kamal Ghosh.
Of the many Dance directors, the names of Prabhu Deva, Raghava Lawrence come to mind readily. Derek Hough is a multi-talented entertainer, author, two-time Emmy Award winner and eight-time nominee for Outstanding Choreography. He is also the only six-time champion of the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars. An emotional Derek Hough took home the gold Sunday at the Creative Arts Emmys for Outstanding Choreography. Through tears, he dedicated his win to wife Hayley Erbert. “Exactly a month ago I was in the hospital. this is a different moment,” he said, choking up after winning the fourth Emmy of his career for choreographing Michael Buble’s “Higher.” “A life-changing moment reminded me to really savor each every moment.”

This unique day celebrates the ingenuity, dedication and influence of choreographers worldwide and highlights their significant impact on the dance industry. The artistic wizards responsible for creating, organising and coordinating various movements into stunning dance routines and choreographies are known as choreographers.
Choreography is the art or practice of designing sequences of movements of physical bodies (or their depictions) in which motion or form or both are specified. Choreography may also refer to the design itself.

His CV made an interesting read : He has a Bachelor’s Degree in History; skilful in varied forms of dances. He has worked in Schools and Dance academies as : Dance Instructor, Gymnastics Instructor and Aerobics Instructor; has hit the silverscreen in some movies, Dance reality shows of Vijay TV, Zee Tamil, Colurs Tv and more.
He runs Aara Dance studio with a purpose statement that having hailed from economically challenged family and had schooling in Govt schools, have come up the hardway and has ambition of providing opportunity to growing children from Govt schools at a low affordable cost !
