Head rotating - what Chitti could and Vaseegaran could not !!

One may doubt one’s eyes or the photo !  - yet, you are seeing it right ! – this beau Pigeon is ogling you !  - eyes fixed at you – head turned towards you, though body is poised towards the opposite side !  -  how is this possible.

It is a bird and not a mechanical robot.  Humanoid robots have been  built to mimic human motion and interaction. Like all service robots, they provide value by automating tasks in a way that leads to cost-savings and productivity.  While they can perform some given tasks, whether they too can turn their head 360! is not known.

Remember Shankar’s Rajnikanth starrer ‘Enthiran’ -   “Chitty — the Robot; Speed — 1 Terahertz; Memory —1 Gigabyte” —  creating  buzz. It talks, moves, sings, shakes a leg, thrashes the villain, and romances the beautiful Aishwarya Rai and  shares words of wisdom too.

In one of the scenes, Dr Vaseegaran in his attempt to rescue Sana from Chitti dresses up as a robot and enters the lab -  Chitti in trying to single out Vaseegaran, makes all robots rotate their heads at great speed, human Vaseegaran fails !!

Humanoid robots are hydraulically actuated, the electrical actuation of head mechanism allows it to rotate at speed – Birds – Pigeons do such things at ease is the beauty of nature
