Rains
are refreshing, they are welcome !! For
Rabindranath Tagore, rain (Varsha) was far more than a meteorological event—it
was a profound spiritual, emotional, and sensory experience. The monsoon holds
a central place in his poetry, music (Rabindra Sangeet), and prose.

Tagore's iconic poem Nobobarsha (New Showers / New Rains), written in 1900 and
published in his collection Kshanika, captures the ecstatic onset of the
monsoon.
