GOLD WINNER - SYMA : CHILD FEST 2010- 11

This year the events will be held on two different dates at  two different venues :

Day 1 :  30/01/2011 (Sunday)  :  Event No. 1. Drawing Competition (Individual Event)  at 

The Hindu Higher Secondary School, Big Street, Triplicane, Chennai – 5

The Century old Hindu High School is located in Big Street.  Pycrofts Road has been renamed as Bharathi Salai and Bells Road renamed as Jagjivan Salai.  One needs to come down from Chepauk Stadium towards Bharathi Salai or from Kannagi Statue towards Ratna Cafe in Bharathi salai for reaching the venue.

Rules :

    Schools can send any number of entries.

    Students can also come direct and register at the Venue

    There is no Topic upto 8^th Standard.  Students are allowed to draw anything of their choice.

    Topic for 9^th and 10^th Standard students - "  Agricultural Green Revolution - Our Vision"

    Topic for 11^th & 12^th Standard students – "Stop, Listen, Proceed - Way of Life"

    Charts for drawing will be provided by us

    Students are requested to bring School Identity Card

    Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Day 2 :  06/02/2011 Events : Singing, Quiz, Instrumental Fusion, Dance & Fancy Dress

Venue :  Mylapore Fine Arts Academy, Mylapore, Chennai 600 004

Event No.2. Singing Competition (Individual Event)

(Carnatic Songs) (06.02.2011 - 9.00 a.m.)

Rules :

           Each School can send a maximum of 3 entries only.

           The Competition is open to students from 8th Std to 12th Std.

     Competition will be held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday) at 9.00 a.m.

     Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Event No.3. Singing Competition (Individual Event)

(Film Songs) (06.02.2011 - 11.00 a.m.)

Rules :

            Each School can send a maximum of  Three entries only.

            The Competition is open to students from 8th Std to 12th Std.

            Competition will be held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday) at 11.00 a.m.

      Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Event No. 4. Quiz Competition (Group Event)
(Preliminary Round - 06.02.2011 - 11.00 a.m.)

Rules :

            This competition will be held in two groups. 

Ø Group A will consist of students from 6th Std. to 9th Std.

Ø Group B for the students of 10th Std. to 12th Std.

            Each team shall consist of two students.

            A school shall send only One entry for  each group

            Preliminary round will be a written round and will be  held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday) at 11.00 a.m followed by Finals. 

      Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Event No. 5. Instrumental Fusion (Group Event)

(06.02.2011- 02.30 p.m.)

Rules :

            This Competition will be held for Students from 6th Std to 9th Std only.

            Each Team shall consist of 4 students (It cannot be more or less in numbers).

            Only one Team will be allowed for each School.

            A School will be allotted a maximum of 10 minutes only.

      The event will be held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday) at 02.30 p.m.

      Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

 Event No.6. Dancing Competition (Group Event)

Rules :

            This Competition will be held for students from LKG to V Std.

            Each team shall consist of 6 students. (cannot be more or less)

            Only one Team will be allowed for each school.

            A school will be allotted a maximum time of 5 minutes.

            This event will be held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday) at 3.30 p.m.

      Students are required to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Event No. 7. Fancy Dress Competition (Individual Event)
(LKG, UKG and 1st Std) (06.02.2011 - 05.00 p.m.)

Rules :

            A school can send any number of entries.
            Students  can also come direct and register at the Venue
            This event will be held on 06-02-2011 (Sunday).
Group A   (LKG, UKG and 1st Std)  -  5.00 p.m.
            No dialogues / verses allowed.
            Students are required to report 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
